Church of St Peter

The small church of San Pietro at Caporciano is a rural gem located just outside the village, with panoramic views of the Navelli plain. Dating back to the medieval period, it retains the typical appearance of rural Abruzzo churches. The structure, built with exposed local stone, features a simple gabled facade and a distinctive bell gable. Inside, traces of devotional frescoes can still be seen, telling the story of the local community's long tradition of worship. Nestled within the agricultural and pastoral landscape, the church historically marked the routes that connected the village to the surrounding fields and pastures, remaining a symbol of spirituality and connection to the land.
